SCORE, in conjunction with the Wayne County Industrial Development Agency, will be presenting a workshop on “Starting and Operating Your Own Business.” This is in response to very successful workshops held last spring and fall. The program consists of four sessions covering: How to Write a Business Plan, Budgeting and Cash Flow, Insurance Requirements, Legal Considerations, Banking and Finance, Marketing Your Business and Business Ethics. The program will be held on Monday evenings from 7 to 9 p.m., on Sept. 19 and 26 and Oct. 3, and 17 at Finger Lakes Community College, Wayne County Campus Center, 1100 Technology Parkway, Room WC-128, Newark.
There is a small fee for this course. Seating is limited so reservations are requested.

Officials Congratulate New Grocery Owners

August 17, 2011 - Wayne County - RED CREEK -  Owners April Palmer and Diana Sellmann purchased the shuttered building in 2010, renovated it themselves and opened the grocery in May 2011. Red Creek, on the border of Wayne and Cayuga counties, had been without a local grocery store for nearly a decade.
