Pearl S. Bauer
MACEDON - Pearl S. Bauer passed away peacefully on August 11, 2011 at age 89 at her home. She is predeceased by her loving husband George H. Bauer of 60 years; son-in-law Darrell Coons. Survived by her adoring children, Pat Coons of Victor, Cindy (George) Trapp of Palmyra, Linda (Dave) Colburn of Ontario, George (Donna) Bauer of Ontario; 10 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren.  
Friends were invited to call Saturday, Aug. 13 at Payne & Murphy Funeral Home, 1040 Rt. 31, Macedon. A celebration of Pearl’s life was held Sunday, Aug. 14 at St. John’s Lutheran Church, 153 Church Ave., Farmington. Interment will be at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. John’s Lutheran Church in her memory.



Dale T. Osborn
Noted Country Musician
PHOENIX - Dale T. Osborn, 50, died August 8, 2011, after the motorcycle he was operating on Oswego Road, collided with a car entering the roadway from a business parking lot.
Born to his late parents, Guy and Virginia Lee (Broadwell) Osborn on April 15, 1961. As a child, he belonged to Calvary Baptist Church, Fulton. Later, he was an Army veteran. Dale was a longtime country music singer and guitarist. He began his passion with his first guitar at age 14, and never put it down. His many years as a musician, he had performed from Rochester to Pennsylvania. Besides his own band, “Free Style,” he had played with numerous other popular groups, including the R.R Ramblers and Red Osborn. His love and passion got him a proud place in the Cortland Country Music Hall of Fame.
Surviving are his companion, Candice Clayberg; and left behind, two grown sons, Michael Osborn of Hannibal, Dale T. Osborn, II of Fulton; two brothers, Roger Osborn of Vermillion, Guy Osborn of Tampa, Fla.; three sisters, Doris Mansfield of Decater, Ala, Juanita Ott of Cato, Lori Lanford of Oswego; four very loved grandchildren; nieces, nephews, and cousins. Calling hours were held on Thursday, Aug. 11 at the Allanson-Glanville-Tappan Funeral Home, 431 Main St., Phoenix. A funeral service was held at the funeral home on Friday. A graveside service was held on Tuesday, Aug. 16, at Riverside Cemetery, 4024 County Rt. 57, Oswego, with military honors.

Joseph M. Musso
Former Mayor And Police Chief Of Sodus Point
SODUS -   Joseph M. Musso passed away on August 13th, 2011 at the age of 90.  Joe is survived by his wife of 48 years Evonne Musso; daughters Norma (Al “Lonnie”) Davis of Canandaigua and Sally (Clifford) Roelle of Shortsville; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sister Grace Zerbe and brother Robert Musso both of Sodus Point; several nieces and nephews.
Joe was a veteran of the Merchant Marines, and was formerly Police Chief and Mayor in Sodus Point.  A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 20, at the Old Sodus Point Lighthouse. In the event of inclement weather the service will be held at the Sodus Point Fire Department. The family would like to thank the staff at the Pines of Peace in Ontario for their care and compassion. The Musso family has requested that donations in lieu of flowers be made to the Pines of Peace, 2378 Ridge Road, Ontario, NY 14519.  Arrangements by Norton Funeral Home of Sodus.

Beatrice “Bea” L. Stevens
RED CREEK/SODUS - Beatrice L. Stevens, age 86, a resident for the past 14 years at Blossom View Nursing Home, passed away Thursday, August 11, 2011.
Family and friends were invited to call Sunday, August 14 from 1 until 2 p.m. at Becker-Keysor Funeral Home, 6816 Church St., Red Creek where a funeral service followed at 2 p.m. Burial was in Springbrook Cemetery, Sterling.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Blossom View Nursing Home, 6884 Maple Ave., Sodus NY 14551 or to the Red Creek United Methodist Church.
Bea was born April 13, 1925 in Auburn, a daughter to Merrill and Nina Eno Stevens. She cared for many families in the area and was devoted to her Lord and savior.
She is survived by her brother Norman Stevens of New Hampshire; several nieces, nephews and cousins and best friends, Homer and Jessie Collins.
She was predeceased by her parents and brother Duane Stevens.

Wayne Bruce DeBack
WILLIAMSON/BRADENTON, FL - Wayne Bruce DeBack, 80, entered into rest on August 4, 2011 in Bradenton, Fla. He was formerly of Williamson.
He was predeceased by his wife, Geneva DeBack and parents, Stanley and Lillian (Pratt) DeBack. He was survived by cousins.
At Wayne’s personal request, all services were private, with internment in Ridge Chapel Cemetery, Williamson, with only personnel from the funeral home to be present. Arrangements entrusted to Young Funeral Home.


Mary A. Fanning
She Loved To Be Around Animals And Children
NEWARK - Mary Alice Fanning, 77 passed Sunday, August 14, 2011 at Rochester General Hospital.
Family and friends may call Wednesday, Aug. 17, from 10 to 11 a.m. at the Norman L. Waterman Funeral Home, Inc., 124 W. Miller St., Newark. A Funeral Mass will follow at 11:30 a.m. at St. Michael Church, S. Main St, Newark. Burial will be in St. Vincent DePaul Cemetery in Churchville at 2 p.m.

Mary was born the daughter of the late Edward and Alice (Arthur) Fanning on December 30, 1933 in Chili, N.Y. She attended St. Michael Church when she was able. Socializing, visiting Sodus Point and Lake Ontario were just a few of Mary’s interests. She loved to be around animals and children. Mary was a charter resident of the Finger Lakes DDSO, 213 Cuyler St. home when it opened in 1982.
Mary will be remembered by her sister Kay (William) Freeman-Caufield of Avon; many nieces and nephews; many friends and staff of the FLDDSO
She was predeceased by her sister Jean Stevenson, brother Richard Fanning and brother-in-law Thomas Freeman.

Was A Master Gardener And Grew Prize Winning Dahlias
RED CREEK - Mark J. FitzGerald, Jr., age 60, of Wright Rd., entered into eternal rest on Friday, August 12, 2011.
Family and friends called on Monday, Aug. 15 at Keysor Funeral Service, 11362 South St., Cato. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Tuesday, Aug. 16 at St. Patrick’s Church, Mechanic St., Cato. Burial in Springbrook Cemetery, Sterling.
Mark was born Sept. 22, 1950 in Quincy, Mass., a son to the late Mark J. and Geraldine Ferry FitzGerald. He was employed by Klein Steel Co. in Rochester. He was a master gardener and grew prize winning dahlias, was a past member of the Rochester Dahlia Society and a current member of the Nation Capitol Dahlia Society in Washington, D.C.
Mark is survived by his wife Marie of 36 years; six children, Lisa Wagner of Mass., Karen Cyr of Port Byron, Bernice Ott of Mass., William Ott of Mass., Mark (Corey) Ott of Balston Spa and John Ott of Penn.; 11 grandchildren; sister, Catherine Valentine of Mass., nephew, Joseph Valentine of Mass., and niece, Kimberley Madden of Mass.

Luella M. Soules
HURON / PALMYRA- Luella M. Soules, 87, currently a resident of Palmyra, died peacefully Thursday, August 11, 2011, with her son John by her side.
Family and friends will call Saturday, Aug. 20 at Farnsworth-Keysor Funeral Home, 5025 Main St., North Rose, where her funeral service will follow. Burial in Huron Evergreen Cemetery.

Past Commander And Life Member Of VFW Post 2883
NEWARK - Gail Robert VanCleef, 74 of E. Union St., died Friday, Aug. 12, 2011 at his home.
No services are planned. Memorials to Lifetime Care, W. Miller St., Wegmans Plaza, Newark, NY 14513.
Gail was born in Seneca Falls, Nov. 8, 1936, son of William and Eleanor Bennett VanCleef. He retired from Garlock Co. in Palmyra with 36 years of service in 1999. He served in the Korean War in the Navy from 1953-1957. He was a life member of VFW Post 2883, where he was a past commander. He was a PUFL Life Member of the American Legion Post 286 of Newark. He was a member of the Sons of the American Legion of Newark. He was nominated twice for Legionnaire of the Year.
He is survived by his loving companion, Pauline Tolleson, two sons, Carl (Ulie) VanCleef of Germany, and Robert (Sheri) VanCleef of Geneva, five grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, one sister, Eleanor Updyke of Seneca Falls, two brothers, William (Judy) and Clint (Vivian) both of Florida, and his children’s mother, Linda VanCleef of Newark. Jefferson E. LaMont, Sr.
Well-Respected Teacher, Coach And Mentor To Students Throughout His Many Years In Hannibal
HANNIBAL - Jefferson E. LaMont, Sr., 53, of Hannibal, died Tuesday, August 9, 2011, at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Syracuse. Born in Gouverneur, he was a 24 year resident of Hannibal. Jeff was a sixth grade teacher at Dennis M. Kenney Middle School in Hannibal where his love of the outdoors showed in his classroom with many animals, plants and items from nature. He was the modified wrestling coach, football coach and recently became the girls’ basketball coach. Jeff was a member and the current president of the Hannibal Teachers Union. He was a co-founder of Klub KenMont at Dennis M. Kenney Middle School. Jeff was a well-respected teacher, coach and mentor to students throughout his many years in Hannibal. He was an avid outdoorsman loving animals and spending time with his children. He was predeceased by his parents, Jack D. and Kathleen I. LaMont. Surviving: three children, Vanessa L. Gates, Amberlyn D. LaMont and Jefferson E. LaMont, Jr. all of Hannibal; two more he would be proud to call his own, Sibel E. Gunukutlu and Edward C. Goritski; two brothers, Michael A. LaMont of Antwerp and Patrick O. LaMont Cicero; his little buddy, Dyl Buske; many beloved nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be 3 to 7 p.m. Friday, Aug. 19 at Foster Funeral Home, 837 Cayuga Street, Hannibal. Funeral services are 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 20 at Dennis M. Elizabeth “Betty” (Klem) Kober
Enjoyed Bowling, Playing Cards, Bingo, Knitting And Puzzles
WILLIAMSON - Elizabeth “Betty” (Klem) Kober, formerly of Webster, died August 13, 2011.
She was predeceased by her parents, Walter and Anna Klem; husband, Ralph; and her brother Bernard.
She is survived by her children, Paul (Michelle) Kober, Margaret (Darwin) Kaplin, Mary (Peter) Castro and James (Jeri) Kober; sister, Shirley Hogestyn; and brother, John (Betty) Klem; 10 grandchildren; nieces, nephews, cousins and many dear friends.
Elizabeth grew up in Webster, where her father and uncle ran Klem Chevrolet. She married Ralph in 1953. She worked for both Kodak and Xerox during her career. After retiring from Xerox, Betty and Ralph moved to Middlesex, N.Y. and wintered in Florida before becoming full-time Floridians. After Ralph’s death in 2002, Betty moved back to the Williamson area to be closer to family and friends. Betty enjoyed bowling, playing cards, Bingo, knitting and puzzles. She also enjoyed volunteering at blood drives at her church.
The family would like to thank the staff on the 6th Floor at St. John’s Home in Rochester for their compassion and dedication in caring for our mom; especially nurses Cheri and Anna.
Family and friends were invited to call Tuesday, Aug. 16 at the Young Funeral Home, 4025 West Main St., Williamson. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Holy Trinity Church in Webster, Wednesday morning at 10 a.m., followed by interment in Holy Trinity Cemetery. Douglas G. Stocks
Avid Fan Of The Green Bay Packers
CLYDE - Douglas G. Stocks, 62, of High Street Rd., passed away Sunday, August 14, 2011.
Family and friends called on Tuesday, Aug. 16 at Weeks-Keysor Funeral Home, 5 Phelps St., Lyons, where a funeral service will be held on Wednesday, Aug. 17 at 11 a.m. Burial will be in Rural Cemetery, Lyons.

Doug was born May 18, 1949 in Kirksville, Mo., a son to Donald B. and Glenda R. Noland Stocks. He grew up in Wisconsin and moved to New York in 1968. He was a member of Lyons Elks 869 and the VFW War Dads. He retired from Silgan Container in Lyons. Doug was an avid fan of the World Champion Green Bay Packers.
He is survived by his wife Delores of 41 years; three children, Jeffery (Taryn), Gregory (Kelly) and Jennifer (August); eight grandchildren, Andrew (Ashley), Hali (Will), Mickayla, Cole, Chayce, Kierra, Brandon and Jordan; father, Donald (Judy); brothers and sisters, Jim, Dave (Myrna), Pat (John), Shari (Fred), Val (Mike), Gary, Candy(lee), Bruce and Donna (Cass); several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his mother, Glenda, in 1995.
