Ontario Democratic Caucus Held

The Ontario Democrats gathered on Thursday evening, July 28, to nominate and designate candidates for town election in November 2011 at the Ambulance Headquarters on Furnace Road.

David Stark served as chairperson of the caucus and Cheryl Legg as caucus secretary. Joe Molino was nominated by Jim Switzer for Town Supervisor. Eric Lubberts seconded the nomination. The nomination was approved without opposition.
Joan Stark was nominated by Virginia Molino for one of two at-large candidates for Town Councilman. Jody Watson seconded the nomination. The nomination was approved without opposition.

Jim Switzer was nominated by Joe Molino for the second of two at-large candidates for Town Councilman. Nancy Cleveland seconded the nomination. The nomination was approved without opposition.

Jerry Santangelo was nominated by Michelle Maier for Superintendent of Highways. Eric Lubberts seconded the nomination. The nomination was approved without opposition.
Guest speaker was Ed O’Shea, Chairman of the Wayne County Democratic Committee. Ed noted the importance of voter turnout and participation at the town, county, state and national level.
Also present at the caucus were Jackie Walker, Treasurer of the Wayne County Democratic Committee and Williamson Town Democratic Committee, Paul Sucher, Town Justice, Deb DeMinck, Town Clerk and Wayne County Republican Commissioner of Elections, Marjorie Bridson.
Party members and guests enjoyed a dessert reception following the event.
