Deputy Larry Lindner and Joe Roeland completed 10 years of service. I salute Deputies Lindner and Roeland!

August brings a very busy schedule for the office with the Wolcott Wine and Jazz Festival, Pirates on the Erie Canal in Palmyra, the Clyde Fire Department Carnival and fireworks, our assistance to Schuyler County Sheriff’s Office for the NASCAR Race and one of my favorite events of the year, our Wayne County Fair. Sheriff’s Office command staff, deputies and I will be present all week as we work remotely out of the Command Post Trailer. Operation Safe Child IDs will be available all week. You can download the application form from our website www.waynecosheriff.org. Please stop by and say hello.

Tell me what the Sheriff’s Office does well, what we need to improve and give me your ideas. Please contact me at 315.946.5797 or bvirts@co.wayne.ny.us with any questions or concerns you may have.
